CCM and workgroup

Initially I installed CCM in workgroup , then customer decide to join it into domain, will this impact the SQL and consequently cause the CCM won't work? Because I think the CCM' s computer name is kind of different after joining the domain due to the domain suffix is appending to the CCM's computer name.

You should not have any problems. The only thing I will say is if you are putting the server in an AD domain. Make sure you remove the primary dns suffix for this computer under properties of my computer -> network identification.
