CCM codec g729 selection

When i choose inside region codec g729 on CCM then I see on gw (show call active voice brief ) codec type g729br8.

Is possible to change codec from ccm to gw to g729r8 and not to g729br8?

I think the phones will do g729br8. All versions of g729 are suppose to work with each other.

Codec g729br8 has in-build VAD. If I set no Vad on gw dial-peer, there is still

vad enabled during active call. On CM is Vad disabled.

That is why i wanted to change codec to g729r8.

you can do this with "voice class codec "

for example :

voice class codec 1

codec preference 1 g729r8

codec preference 2 g729br8

on the voip dial-peer you have to insert the:

voice class codec 1

perhabs also:

incoming-called number ..

Mehmet i have just tried it, but it does not work. I have configured it in the way

you described, but there is still codec g729br8 on gateway (show call active voice brie).
