CCM does not anounce the RFC-2833 capability

Hello,

We are doing a pilot for the following setup:

Callmanager <=> Genesys Server.

(The Genesys server is configured as an H323 in the CallManager, on the Genesys server, we installed a H323 to SIP conversion program)

We have the following problem:

(CallManager version 4.1.3)

CCM does not anounce the RFC-2833 capability. This is the reason why we can't detect the DTMF sent through the device. According to the H.245 standard,the following information should be passed to indicate the support of RFC-2833:

AudioTelephonyEventCapability ::=SEQUENCE

{

dynamicRTPPayloadType INTEGER(96..127),

audioTelephoneEvent GeneralString, -- As per <list of values>

-- in 3.9/RFC 2833

...

}

CCM doesn't generate this.

We need to find out how to set this on the CCM.

Does anyone have an idea where to start ?

Many Thanks

Dirk

Re: CCM does not anounce the RFC-2833 capability

CCM uses out-of-band signalling for DTMF. An MTP is required for RFC 2833 compliant DTMF signalling. Take a look at the following link.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
