Has anyone run into a problem with a fax machine plugged into a VG200 configured as a H.323 gateway? When the fax machine dials an on-net number, a fast busy is received. When dialing off-net, a dial tone but no answer. IP phones are connected to CCM 3.0(11) via DT-24 cards. I initially tried MGCP on the gateway, but the fax machine would get cut off after connecting.

DT-24+ card doesn't support FAX-relay. So you have to disable the fax-relay function on H.323 Gateway. And better to use G.711 for FAX.

I already had those settings: fax-relay is disabled, and g711ulaw is being used.

Can you please post the VG200 configuration? Also, which version is being used on the VG200?

I eventually got it working. The problem was that the VG200 wasn't parsing the "T" parameter correctly, as in
destination-pattern 9T
I had to enter each one in manually
destination-pattern [0-8]...
destination-pattern 9[2-9].........
destination-pattern 91[2-9].........
The version was 12.1(5)XM3.
