CCM publisher phone Services stoped working

Topology:

publisher and subscriber, phones register to subscriber and services run on publisher. Ver 3.0(1.3.1)

I have a fast dial service setup and phone users subscribe to the service. For some reason going to the service on the phone, the phone displays an update button but will not select the fast dial service.

I also have problems when my DC service just stops working and to fix it I just reboot the CCM pub which hosts services.

Is there a way to get the fast dial services working again without rebooting the pub? Also, Why does the DC service stop working and can I get it working again with out rebooting the pub?

hmmm. strange.

first you have to find out what happens.

a) enable tracing for all services ( ccm-serviceability tool)

b) look at the traces

c) look into eventlog

d) keep an eye on memory-consumption / cpu load , maybe with the perfmon...
