Hi,

We a a CM 3.1.3a, installed on MCS 7825.

The server when inspected around 6.30pm it was at the prompt (Non system Disk Error). There was no floppy diskette inside.

The Engineer recycled the power and when the system booted the IP phones were not able to register. On further inspection it was observed that the CISCO RIS data collector service was in stopping mode.

It got resolved after rebooting again. After checking the event viewer there was an unexpected shutdown of the server at 11.30 pm yesterday. During that period there was 1 error with ID 1281 related to NIC Agent and CTI agent hung during startup error with event ID 7022.

Aslo I am getting frequent DCOm errors.

Regards

Sujit

Sujit ,

The RIS Data Collector has a lot of problems starting usually if the NIC is not functioning properly . There are a lot of problems with BAD NICS that I know of that can cause the RIS Data Collector not to start. It is worth giving a check on the NIC

What are the DCOM error thats you get on the server.
