Is it possible to configure following features ( generally available with PBXes) with CCM :

1. Ringback option: ie when a user dials an extension which is busy , he can press some key combination and

place the receiver. Sooner the destination extension is free, the originator get a ring indicating that destination is free.

2. Incoming call indicator: When a user busy with a call and if a second call comes to the same extension,

a short beep ( in addition to the LCD indicator display) heard by the user to indicate that there is another incoming

call.

Hi,

There is a feature called callback which is basically a service which alerts the calling party that the called barty is now available.Call waiting is also available in callmanager ,also you can have multiple calls on a single line and toggle between them ,These features are available with latest versions of callmanager.so it depends which version are you using.

Thanks

Aman

Could you please explain how to install this callback service ?

Also, does this call waiting feature enables the user to hear an audible tone ?

Hi

I have a similar question. I enabled the callback service, but it is different from the service named "callback" in our old PBX environmnet. The PBX callback service has the feature as below:

When the callee is busy or no answer status, the caller can press a "callback" key , at the same time the key "callback" on callee's phone is light, when callee is available and see the light ,he can press the callback key and the call will be placed to the caller directly.

In CCM callback service ,the caller only can receive a notice when the callee's phone switch between off-hook and on-hook status,so if the callee comes back to his seat but do not touch his phone ,the service can not be triggered.

Is there any method to realize the old PBX "callback" service ?Thanks.
