CCM v4.1(3) CDR

We've just enabled CDR records in Publisher. We have no intention to use CAR at this moment to access CDR. Instead we would like to export the CDR to a CSV file or other formats from SQL Query for the time being if possible. And in future we would like to access CDR record via external customized program.

Since I am new to API, AXL SOAP development etc, please shed some light how an external customized program to access CDR record. I guess it is through AXL SOAP (web interface) via CCM CDR API to access CDR database. Is this correct? In addition, how long the CDR records will be kept in SQL by default?

Have found the below url from CCO but it is more for CCM v3.3(3)

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/dev_support/access_level/product_support

Any urls will be helpful for CTI development or CDR API detail with CCM v4.1(3).

Thank you in advance.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

I'll try not to make this a commercial, especially since I won't get a dime from this, but...

I used to work for a reseller and we sold a product called OfficeWatch from Metropolis Technologies. www.metropolis.com

It is a very nice, easy to use program, easy to install and does a really good job of call accounting. You can download a demo from their website.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

an external/third party app. that accesses the CDR does so through SQL ODBC connection.

depending on the config of the app. it can copy the CDRs or move them from CCM altogether.

to configure the length and amount of CDRs kept, use the

Service>ServiceParameters>CiscoDatabaseLayerMonitor settings.

see this link for more info on 4.13 CDR:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803fe70c.html

there are additional links in the doc to follow for further information as well.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

I have found the Max. number of CDR is 1.5 million.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_programming_usage_guide09186a00806556fb.html#wp35617

However, can't find the service parameters in Service under CCM admin menu. Any one has experience to adjust this value? And idea of how big in terms of file size of 1.5 million CDR records in SQL database? Thank you in advance.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

Do you have MLA Multi Level Admin enabled? If yes, then make sure your login is part of the functional group with access to Service parameters menu.

As per the Callmanager Help for Max Number of CDR, the maximum value is 2147483647, more than 2 billion. 1.5 million is the default.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

Thanks for the help.

We don't have MLA enabled. The max. number is very helpful, but any idea how big is the file size? And I assume if the file size is exceeded, the old CRD records will be deleted. Thanks again.

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

That is strange that you cannot see the Service Parameters. What is the CCM Version, including the SR?

What is the account you are using to logon?

Re: CCM v4.1(3) CDR

We can access Service Parameters without any problem.

The only field we don't see is "Max CDR Records".

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803edb2b.html#wp1022604

Max CDR Records (don't see it)

CDR Enabled Flag (Okay)

CDR Log Calls With Zero Duration Flag logged (Okay)

Call Diagnostics Enabled not generated (Okay)

Login with administrator account. CCM v4.1(3)sr1.

Do I need MLA account login?

Thanks again.
