CCM3.3 integration with unity 4.0

We have a unity 4.0 box, a CCM cluster in the data center. We have some local sites as well as the center. In the begining, users in only one site use unity. later, users in other sites might start to use unity.

I am not sure how to configure the CCM3.3 integration with the unity. I would appreciate if anyone advise for me.

My plan is as follows so that only users in SiteA can use unity.

---------------------------

CiscoUM_VIx ports and MWI numbers are associted to Corp_CSS.

Corp_CSS includes SiteA_PT and SiteB_PT.

SiteA_CSS includes SiteA_PT, SiteB_PT and VMPilotNumber_PT.

SiteB_CSS includes SiteA_PT and SiteB_PT (without VMPilotNumber_PT).

-----------------------------

I will include VMPilotNumber_PT into SiteB_CSS if users in SiteB need to access unity.

Does the above configuration work as I intend?

Is there any problem?

Re: CCM3.3 integration with unity 4.0

I found that voicemail ports(CiscoUM_VIx) needed no CSS selected(i.e. "none" for CSS). So does the pilot configuration.

unity seems working fine in lab with the configuraion.

MWI numbers are configured to search Corp_CSS.

Is there any problem?

Thannk you.

Re: CCM3.3 integration with unity 4.0

It's very clear.

You can do the following:

1.) create 2 different CSS to separate both sites; it could be CSS_SiteA and CSS_SiteB.

2.) create a new partition that would be associate to the Cisco Unity VM ports.

3.) associate the new partition to the CSS_SiteA only.

4.) do not include the new partition the site's B CSS.

5.) You are done. ;)

Re: CCM3.3 integration with unity 4.0

Antonio,

Thank you for your help.

Should I make another CSS(for example,Unity_CSS) to restrict calling from Unity? And I put SiteA_CSS into Unity_CSS?

Re: CCM3.3 integration with unity 4.0

Antonio,

The following configuration seems working fine in lab. So I will proceed with this config.

----------------------------------------------

CSS_SiteA, which the phones in SiteA searches.

CSS_SiteB, which the phones in SiteB searches.

Unity_CSS, which is associated to VM ports, MWI and VM pilot.

Unity_PT, which includes unity VM ports.

Unity_CSS includes unity_PT and SiteA_PT (no SiteB_PT).

CSS_SiteA includes siteA_PT, SiteB_PT and unity_PT.

CSS_SiteB includes SiteA_PT and SiteB_PT. (no Unity_PT).

----------------------------------------------

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Tetsuo
