Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

Hi Ronny

I'm sure we can give you a fix for this, I'm just not completely clear what you're trying to do...

Are you saying that phones outside your site see the wrong calling number?

If so, what are your extension numbers, and what SHOULD the calling numbers show up as?

Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

Hi Aaron,

the phones outside my site see xxx85640.

I have extensions xxx85640-00 - xxx85640-99 and the other Sites should see xxx8564000.

The extensions are not sent to the telecom provider.

In my comprehension, the CCME should sent the extensions also.

The following lines

dial-peer voice 2 pots

forward-digits all

diplay not the extensions.

thanks

Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

"the phones outside my site see xxx85640", is this the main number or is the main number xxx8564000 ?

try running a debug isdn q931, there the calling number (and the called number) should be displayet, and you will se what "calling number" you are sending to the telecom provider.

If you are sending a number NOT in the numberseries you have subscribed the telecom provider will remove this and show the main number, just a thought...

Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

You have two digit extensions internally?

i.e.

01

02

,,

98

99

And you only want your main office number to show?

If you can confirm this I'll suggest some config...

Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

Hi Aaron,

i have 4 digits internally.

4001

4002

.

.

4099

The Main Number is 85640 and this will displayed on external site.

My DID is 8564004.

I attached the isdn q931 debug with calling number 8564004 and the shorted config.

ciao

Re: CCME - callout extension number not displayed

Hi Ronny

First I'd do away with the telephony-service dialplan-pattern command - i prefer to use translation patterns.

Then create the translations (I've set this to change any extensions starting with 40, to translate to the 85640 number you mentioned - if I've misunderstood you can put whatever number you want there that your telco will permit).

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^40../ /85640/

voice translation-profile OutboundCLI

translate calling 1

And apply this to your outbound dial-peers:

dial-peer voice 1

translation-profile outgoing OutboundCLI

dial-peer voice 2

translation-profile outgoing OutboundCLI

Since you haven't got the dial-plan command any more, you might need to translate the incoming called numbers from the PSTN to your extension numbers... for example if telco sends 8564004 and extension is 4004, this rule would translate this and any others in that number range to your internal extensions:

voice translation-rule 2

rule 1 /^85640../ /40/

voice translation-profile InboundDDI

translate called 2

dial-peer voice 3

translation-profile outgoing InboundDDI

Obviously you may need to change this translation as well.

So in Germany you have a short main office number, with DDIs being the same with extra digits? That seems very strange to us UK folk...

Aaron

Hope this helps - please rate my replies if they do!
