We are running Call Mgr Express. On the 7960 and 7940 only 2 ring types are available. On the 7912 there is only 1 ring type. How can I add more ring types?

The ring tones used on the phone are stored in the TFTP path on the CallManager. A file called RingList.xml can be edited to make more that one type available to the phone. This file can found in the TFTP path on the Callmanager. You might have to use a pcm file for new tones to the ringlist file. Refer the following documents for custom phone rings.

Thanks, I was actually asking about Call Mgr Express, not Call Mgr. I have since found the answer and it does involve creating the same RingList.xml. That file gets stored in flash on CME router, along with the ring pcm files. Also, need to add the following to the router config for each ringtype:

tftp-server flash:AreYouThere.raw
