CCME Overlapping Dial peer issue.

I have a site that requires 7 digit local dialing. I have dialpeers setup for the 7 digit, and 911 and long distance and such... However we have one area code and prefix that the LEC is telling us must be dialed by 10 digits. This is causing issues with my dialpeer statments....

Here is my local 7 Digit dial peer

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 9[2-8]......

Here is the 10 digit dial peer that Im tyring to match

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 9512932....

However the 7 digit dial peer always matches first.

And I dont believe I can modify the 7 digit dial peer to exclude 512 because they have a local prefix 501, 519, and 532

Any suggestions? I dont want to just do a 9T because were trying to block international...

Re: CCME Overlapping Dial peer issue.

Try adding preference command to the dial-peers, add "preference 0" to the 9512932...., and "preference 1" to the 9[2-8]......

Why are your dial-peers tags the same? both dial-peers have a tag of 1?

Re: CCME Overlapping Dial peer issue.

Shoot they are not the same... I just typoed them...

I was also thinking of perhaps trying a voice translation rule. I could translate the 91512932 to

9512932 on my long distance dialpeer, then I would tell the users just dal it as 1 512...

Re: CCME Overlapping Dial peer issue.

Ok preference order did not matter. It still matched the 9[2-8]...... even with a preference of 2 or 3
