CDR purge in cm 3.2 and CDR_log.LDF

My plan was to upgrade to CM version 3.3 from version 3.2 ,so before the upgrade we check the free space on the drive and found out that we have only about 2.2 GB .

So we had a look on drive C and found the next files:

art.mdf 1.46GB

CCM0303_log.LDF 241MB

CDR_log.LDF 69MB

CDR.MDF 1.9GB

distribution.MDF 80MB

msdbdata.mdf 994MB

all in c:\mssql7\data

we decide to purge the CDR using the ART/CAR tool .

We have about 3.5 months of records in the DB and we choose to purge about 1.5 (all the records before date XXXX)

Then we notice that the free space on the disk is decreasing while at the end of the process the CDR.MDF file remain the same

and the CDR_log.LDF grow to about 1.3GB.

I had a look around in cisco bug tool and found the next one which is similar but not the same.(bug number CSCea55522)

That actually send me to the tac

I would appreciate if someone can give me more information on how to fix it please?

I had this very same problem art_log.ldf file was some 2.5 gigs in size and kept increasing. I had tac VPN in and take care of it. There is some database shrinking tool they used on it. Definitely was causing space issues for me too... Good luck.
