Change default to extension number rather than name

Using Unity 2.4.6.161. When subscribers call in and want to leave a message to another subscriber or distribution list, it asks for the name first. Is there a way to change the default so it asks for the extension first?

I don't think there is a way to change it, but when it says to spell the name of the subscriber just hit # # and it will ask you for an extension instead.

Yes, on the conversation page in the SA you can change the default to extension if you like - this can be done in Bulk Edit for large numbers of users across the boards if you like.
