Change translation rule from voice gateway to CCM for dial number

Hi,everyone

I hope that translation rule policy change the cisco voice-gateway's to CCM translation-pattern.

But i don't know how to do.

Because CCM translation mask policy converts digits from last right digit.

[ voice gateway translation rule ]

rule 1 /^90\([3-4]\)\([1-3]\)\(.*\)/ /90830\1\2\3/

rule 2 /^905\([1-5]\)\(.*\)/ /908305\1\2/

rule 3 /^906\([1-4]\)\(.*\)/ /908306\1\2/

rule 4 /^900\([1,2,5,6]\)\(.*\)/ /9008\2/

rule 5 /^901\([0,1,6-9]\)\(.*\)/ /9083131\1\2

rule 6 /^900\([3,7]..\)\(.*\)/ /9008\2/

Please reply your opion to me.

thanks.

Re: Change translation rule from voice gateway to CCM for dial n

Does the problem with outside dial tone happen after you entered rule 4?

Make sure that all these translation patterns have the "Provide Outside Dialtone" checked.

Also make sure you do not have any directory number (like phone lines, voicemail port, CTI etc) that starts with 9

Lets take rule 1 as an example. If someone dials

9031555, you would need to translate it to 9083031555

1. Create a translation pattern: 90.[3-4][1-3]!

2. Under the called party transformations, use

Discard digits: PreDot

Prefix Digits: 90830

Simlarly for the other rules. The key is to find out when to use the dot in the translation pattern so that you can discard all digits before the dot and then prefix whatever you need.

Re: Change translation rule from voice gateway to CCM for dial n

I thanks for your reply.

I know the use but can't the use for rule 4.

If i use follow steps, can outbound translation.

1. Create a translation pattern : 900[1256].!

2. Under the called party transformations,

Discard digits : Predot

Prefix Digits : 9008

But it hears outside tone after input 900[1256] digits.

I can't the use because many outbound call patterns is start a same first digit 9.

My customer was require to me that hope to hear outside tone after first digit 9.

thanks. Please reply other uses for me.
