Changing an IP address on Unity 3.14 with Unified Messaging

We need to change the IP address on a Unity 3.14 Unified Messaging installation. When we attempted to do this after changing the address we could not get the avcsmgr service to restart. Any know issues with this or ideas on what we might be missing.

Check and make sure that your DNS does not have a static IP-Name address mapping. Flush the cache in your Unity server or to make sure that the cache is flushed, reboot the server.

From within the Unity server, ping the loopback and then ping the new assigned IP address. Is this new address ping-able from other devices? There is nothing specific to Unity when it comes to IP address changes.
