changing ips

Hey folks - we currently have an installation cluster for Call Manager 4.2. Im planning on upgrading to 5 soon, but have been asked to re-ip one of the servers. Would it be better to upgrade first, then change the ip of a member server, or change the ip now? Either way - how many "gotchas" can I expect? (is there a white paper or something on changing the ip of a call manager member server?)

thanks in advance

Re: changing ips

I would recommend changing the IP address and waiting to make sure that they system is stable after the change before the upgrade. Take a look at the following link.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Re: changing ips

Are you using the RTMT tool? In some cases, the RTMT will show the following error:

Error 14, RISDC data collector service is down or un reachable

Check the ip address configuration in the Primary Collector field at RISDC Service in Sevice Parameters Config in your CCMAdmin page.

Hope it (also) helps,

Vitor
