Check box for "User must change password at next login" does not clear

Check box for "User must change password at next login" does not clear when subscriber changes the password using Active Assistant.

We are running Unity 3.1.5 UM with CCM integration off box Exchange 5.5 and password policy to reset password every 90 days.

UNITY STATE: The System Administration web page for the subscriber has the check box for "User must change password at next login" checked (normal for our policy) and the subscriber hears the prompt "Your password has expired. You must reset your password. For help, press zero. Enter your new password, then press #."

IF: the Subscriber uses Active Assistant to change the password, (as we have trained them) the new password is accepted by Unity BUT the Check box for "User must change password at next login" does not clear. And therefore, the next telephone access prompts the Subscriber "Your password has expired. You must reset your password. For help, press zero. Enter your new password, then press #."

IF: the subscriber changes the password from the telephone keypad, the check box for "User must change password at next login" does clear and, the Subscriber has normal functionality.

Any assistance in getting Active Assistant to clear the the check box for "User must change password at next login" would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Kyle

Re: Check box for "User must change password at next login" does

searching DDTS and chatting with the admin folks what you describe is not a known problem - I'd open a TAC case if you haven't already and get this investigated.

There were certainly DDTS records for the _opposite_ problem that have been fixed along the way - in other words you had to change the phone password via the SA/AA/PCA in order for it to take note of the fact that you've updated the password and have it clear the "user must change PW at next login" box, the TUI interface didn't set the flag properly. But what you're reporting is the other way around and I can't find any reference to that type of issue around.

Hi Jeff; Thank you for checking.

We have a upgrade scheduled for the next few weeks. We will upgrade to Unity 4.0.3.

If we still have the issue after the upgrade, we will do as directed and contact TAC.

Thank you again.

This behaviour is seen in 4.0(3) as well. A defect has been filed: CSCed03115.
