CheckPoint/IP Communicator

Hi

Anyone have experience of running CIPC with CheckPoint VPN clients?

My customer has been trying it with CME, however getting all audio dropping out partway through a call, from which point all audio would be lost - the firewall logs indicated 'connection contained the real IP of a NAT'd address' as it's excuse..

He's worked round this by adding a deNAT rule (a quote there, i'm not familiar with CheckPoint so can't vouch for the accuracy of his terminology ) which has fixed the problem so far, however calls from VPN client to VPN client still don't work at all.

Has anyone ran such a setup?

Thanks

Aaron

Re: CheckPoint/IP Communicator

check if you are able to ping from the VPN client to the IP phone?. Please check the preferences of the CIPC for this please follow these steps:

Right click on the CIPC and go to network> network adapter>you must select the network adapter of the PC.

After that go to Audio>network and check if you check mark for Detect Automatically.

This URL speaks about VOIP with PIX, should help you - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00801fc74a.shtml
