If I enable circular logging on Exchange, can I configure the size of the files, and how many files are generated before they are over ridden? Or is it fixed? I didn't see anywhere to dconfigure that parameter.
And, what exactly are in the transaction logs, the actual voice mail messages? So, when I back them up, what exactly am I backing up? Thanks.

I'd start with this Microsoft KB article on what transaction logs are and how circular logging affects them:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;147524
Short story, if you're doing regular backups of your system you shouldn't use circular logging (this is definitely the route we reccomend - doing regular backups is always a real good idea).

This URL will probably answer all of your questions:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;147524
With circular logging it is either on or off -- there isn't any middle point.
Hope this helps...
