Cisco 1751 issue

Hi,

I'm using a cisco 1751 as voice gateway with voice BRI but the IOS version that I mounted 12.2(4)T does not support the compand-type voice port configuration command needed to set the voice port as european port.

Does anyone know if it is a workaround for this?

Thanks,

Actually, all you should need to do to set it to Italian for example is configure this command in the voice-ports - cptone it

Yes I already put this command but the call not start.

Can you turn on debug isdn q931 before you make the call, turn it off after the call fails, and paste the output of the debug here?

Here is the debug...

00:31:15: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI1/1, changed state to up

00:31:15: %ISDN-6-LAYER2UP: Layer 2 for Interface BR1/1, TEI 94 changed to up

00:31:15: ISDN BR1/1: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x05

00:31:15: Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

00:31:15: Channel ID i = 0x83

00:31:15: Display i = 'Nicola', 0x20, 'Morelli'

00:31:15: Calling Party Number i = 0x00, 0x80, '326', Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

00:31:15: Called Party Number i = 0x80, '0644252911', Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

00:31:15: Sending Complete

00:31:15: ISDN BR1/1: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x85

00:31:15: Channel ID i = 0x8A

00:31:19: ISDN BR1/1: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x85

00:31:19: Cause i = 0x80D8 - Incompatible destination

00:31:19: Progress Ind i = 0x8288 - In-band info or appropriate now available

00:31:19: ISDN BR1/1: TX -> RELEASE pd = 8 callref = 0x05

00:31:19: ISDN BR1/1: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x85

A Cisco 2600 or 3600 series router that is running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(3) does not support the compand-type a-law command in voice-port configuration mode on the Command Line Interface (CLI) for a Basic Rate Interface (BRI) port. Therefore, it is not possible to configure the Cisco 2600 or 3600 series router to work with Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) BRI port with a-law. There is no workaround.

I would go down to 12.1(5)T9 or if you want to go up it should be fixed in 12.2(5)T
