Cisco 2610 loosing the Voice Ports

We have a VoIP Network with 2610 at the spoke locations.Every now and then few of the 2610 started loosing the E/M ports and everytime I need to restart the router again in order to make it to recognise the ports. The IOS is 12.1 Any suggestions.

a bug, try the latest image.

How do you "lose" the E&M? Does it disappear from "show ver" and "show diag"? If that is the case, then try to 1. reseat the cards by shutting router, reseat card in the NM-2V and reseating NM-2V in the 2610 slot, then reboot, and monitor 2. Capture any logs and errors that happens during the process.

If you lose network connectivity and actual calls on the E&M then it may be related to configuration, disconnect or hung ports, and you can see it by "show voice port summ" the IDLE state would be EM_ONHOOK...if it says EM_CONNECT when there is no call and no audio, reset the ports by shut/no shut and monitor "show voice port [port#]" status.

Running latest IOS image always is good idea. In your case, latest 12.1 mainline image would be 12.1.15.
