I have no successfull call on voice port 3/0/0 and 3/0/1...

when I do show voice dsp, the coded seems different on those lasr 2 ports:

====

of course dial-p v pots using the different ports are configured the same and PBX engineer is confirming config on hi side is identical for all PBX interfaces: i.e

=====

dial-peer voice 13 pots

destination-pattern 33...

port 2/1/1

=====

Can some on tell me why i am seeing codec difference between those ports?

I am expecting also to have g723r63 on port 3/0/0 and 3/0/1 ?

please advise and if any further info is needed please let me know.

Best regards,

ahmed

Re: cisco 3640 with e&m intervaces codec question

Try changing the codec complexity for the DSP's used by port 3/0/0 and 3/0/1. In the config mode enter the commands

voice-card

codec complexity high

You might want to do a show diag to get the corresponding voice card number

Also configure the codec in the outgoing dial-peer for these ports using the "codec" command

Re: cisco 3640 with e&m intervaces codec question

This is not working.

checked further and it's only for digital voice cards that you can set the complexity to high or medium.

I found also that C542 technology is medium complexity and supports one voice or fax-relay call per DSP.

Also the codec is already configured to g723r63 on all outgoing dial-peer.

any more suggestions ?

Thx
