I config my 5400:

1 T1 for incoming call and 1 T1 for outgoing call. When I phoned 5400, I got fax-tone. My question is, can 5400 handle this kind of calls? If the answer is YES, can you give me a sample of the above about how to config 5400's dial-peer and translation-rule?

You need to be sure to configure an explict inbound pots dial peer. Unlike other platforms, calls that do not have a dialpeer are treated as modem calls rather than voice.

There is no "default" dial-peer.

For example:

dial-peer voice 10 pots

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

HTH,

Michael
