Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

Hi,

Is "Default" the only device pool you have?If it's not can you go to System->Device defaults and verify 7960 is using the default device pool for autoregistretion?

In the CM Group configuration do you have the following group order

CM2

CM1 ?

Can you also verify if the auto-registration callmanager group box is checked on the CM-group configuration page ?

Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

I dont see any configuration issues actually, if all you have done is giving highest priority to CM2 in the Default callmanagre group it should work.

Are you sure your CM2 is up and running?

When you go on the ip phone to settings->network configuration do you see

Call Manager 1

your cm1-ipaddress Active

Call Manager 2

your cm2-ipaddress Standby ?

Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

CM2 is running,

Call Manager 1

CM1 ip address Active

Call Manager 2

CM2 ip address Active

in fact,

I have 20 IP Phone.

all of Phone setting the same CM-Group

now.

14 IP Phone register to CM1

6 IP Phone register to CM2.

how can I do,

we have restart CM service and TFTP service, but no any change.

Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

hi shawn.

since this is the way it is supposed to work for a redundant cluster, and i know that it works, i believe you should check the publication/subscription - relation between the two sql-servers. until the subscription does not work correctly, the registering -process to the subscriber will not work.

there is a document on how to re-establish the replication. check

http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/788/AVVID/recreate_subscribe_database.html

good luck,

Thanks your reply,

I have check my publication and subscription server,

the relation is good,

I saw you suggest the document.

CM-Group is

CM2

CM1

I have 15 IP Phone set to CM-Group,

but just have 8 IP Phone to register CM2

another 7 IP Phone to register CM1,

the same setting for all of IP Phone, so ...

where is my problem ...

Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

So everything is working fine and you just want a half of your phones to register to another server?

add another callmanager group then with opposite servers order and another device pool to include the new group and assign the phones you want to this device pool..

Re: Cisco 7960 Phone register CM problem

Yes,

my default device pool use CM1 and CM2

CM1 is active

CM2 is standby.

I want use CM2 to control my IP Phone and Voice Gateway,

but I don't want to add new Device Pool,

so I direct change my CM-Group to CM2 then CM1,

Is the command worng or...

Shawn
