Cisco BAT File

In order to assign the same extensions on Cisco IP Phones, the requirement is that 2nd DN with the same Extension must be in a different partition. This is the not the ideal setup, but that is what our customer wants. My question is:

Can the Cisco BAT file be used for this type of setup. I am sure I can as when I create the template in BAT File for 7960 2-line phone, for the second DN, I can choose a different partition. Just wanted to run this by a forum.

You can use the BAT to import the configuration this way.

As you mentioned, this is not he ideal configuration. You can have multiple call appearances on a single line now. Unless they plan to do some sort of special calling search space or billing tracking, I can't imagine why they would want to do it this way.
