Cisco CallManager - Nortel BCM

hello everyone,

I have a setup with Cisco CallManager at one site and at the remote site, there is a Nortel BCM400. Both sites are connected through WAN.

CCM---RouterA----WAN----RouterB---Nortel BCM

I want to configure the Nortel BCM using IP rather than connecting it back to back with the Cisco Router through E1 cards, which should be pretty straightforward and moreover, I found a document for it.

I was told that it supports both H323 and SIP. I tried adding it as an H323 gateway but it was not working at all.

I then tried adding it as an Intercluster trunk and it worked half-way!!...

Now calls from Nortel to Cisco is working fine with voice heard from both sides.

However, for calls from Cisco to Nortel, calls are setup fine and the Nortel phone rings, however whe the user picks up, No audio is heard at all, from both sides.

I know there are no access-lists in between at all and i am sure that routing between both site's VLANs is fine.

Could it be another problem? Has anyone faced this before?

AFAIK BCM SIP trunking only works with

BCM to BCM right now
