Re: cisco components needed to set up voIP LAB

I'd suggest giving a reseller a call to find out a decent setup...

Hi sandeep ,

You need to decide which gateway you want to buy 2600 , 3600 etc .

After that select FXS , FXO E&M ports depending on your design .

3810 is one of the good option . You can include call manager and ip phone

if you want .

You can have following setup

CM + 7960 + FXS phone --3600-----back to back t1 ---3810---FXS--Phone .

Something like above setup may help you .

To test using VoIP and keep it around $5000 try the following:

A couple used 1751-V routers (e-bay maybe)

two FXS cards

Two analog phones

Phone --- FXS (router) --- x-over ethernet cable --- (router) FXS --- Phone

About as simple as it gets.
