Cisco IP Communicator, CM Simulator & firmware load problem

Hi,

I am trying to use the CM simulator in the latest SDK, along with IP Communicator 1.1.3.0.

However, for some reason, the Softphone, wants a signed load, and no matter what set of files I drop into the Simulator directory, the Auto-Update component of the IP Communicator says "Manifest is corrupt".

Can anyone who has had success with using the Simulator and IP Communicator, tell me what config works ?

PS : I can get a real 7960 to register with the simulator fine.

Re: Cisco IP Communicator, CM Simulator & firmware load problem

Although the IP Communicator does not seem to register with the CM Simulator, it still picks up the service URL, that I set in the simulator,

thus allowing me to use the Softphone as a browser for IP Phone Services development.

So although my main objective is achieved, it would be nice to know why, while a hardware 7960 can register and get a dial tone, why does the IP communicator fail to register.
