Hi
The Cisco Meeting Server 1000 is a preconfigured version of the Cisco UCS C220 M4 Rack Server, full specifications for which can be found at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c220-m4-rack-server/datasheet-c78-732386.html. For the Cisco Meeting Server 1000, Cisco Meeting Server runs on top of VMware and a separate VMware license is required.

CMS 1000 is a preconfigured UCS that includes VMware and a CMS VM already installed, it will include a licensed version of VMware that is supported by Cisco.
Look at the Cisco TelePresence Virtualization Software section in the Virtualization Software Requirements.

The VMware is not licensed by default, but there is the option to add VMW-VSP-STD-1A= (Qty 2) in the CMS1000 configuration in CCW (top level SKU CTI-CMS-1K-BUN-K9). Or another flavor can be sourced through Cisco or directly from VMware.
