I want to be sure before to do an offer for an IPCC customer that has already an mcs 7835 working. It wants a secondary MCS and the question is:
can I offer an MCS 7825-1133? There are any technical problems or there is only the obvious different "power"?
Another similar question is: If I can, It's the same for the MCS-7815? I'm asking this because the data sheet for this server is not very clear about the redundancy: It speaks about an hot-standby redundancy with only two server, one active and one in standby and this is not the same of the cluster capability.
Redundancy is based on the two servers having the exact database's (among other things). With that, the database replication happens almost entirely by SQL, with that, SQL doesn't really care what hardware you have. The underlying Windows 2000 won't care. I can't imagine that there are any hardware checks within the CallManager services. I'd be pretty confident that you could do it without any issues.
