I am running CM 3.1, and have a gateway (running CME) over a wan that uses g.729.
If a user places a call to an extension on the remote gateway (CME), and then tries to place a local PSTN call (over another LOCAL gateway) , and then conference the two together, the remote calls drops.
I have an MTP setup on the CM 3.1, and the IP Streaming App has g.711alaw/ulaw and g.729 selected.
The remote and local gateways are in the same device pool as all the phones and has access to the media resource group.
I dont have a IOS or hardware transcoder though.
I have come across docs that say that Software transcoders by default only support g.711. Is there a way to change this ???????
I dont know where to start looking for this problem, and any help would be appriciated.
