Trying to set up a SIP trunk between a CM 4.01 and Vovidas VOCAL 1.5 SIP Proxy.
I can configure the trunk fine and set up call patterns to route calls to the trunk.
I can configure routes in the VOCAL proxy server to forward SIP calls to the CM 4
Calls from the SIP Proxy to the CM go through fine
Calls from the CM are rejected by the SIP Proxy server with a 403 Forbidden message
While watching the packet captures if the invite process it appears that the invite from the CM to the SIP proxy server are being attempeted without and kind of Proxy-Authorization process taking place. Is there a way to enable this feature with the SIP trunk?
Hello Andy: I am trying exactly the same but using SER sip proxy and CM 4.0(1.34). It doesnt work at all. Did you configure anything on the CM to receive calls from the proxy? What version of CM are you running?
I dont think the sip trunk support authentication, like a gateway, you should authenticate the CM with the src ip address.
