CM 4.1(3): No Calling Name using QSIG?

Hi all,

we are using a gateway (using qsig) to connect to a BOSCH 33XE PBX.

Everything works fine, only names from callmanager are not shown at the PBX phones, while PBX-user names are shown at the IP phones.

I did a "debug isdn q931" to have a look and I saw a calling number, but no calling name (calling from callmanager to PBX).

Any ideas?

Axel

p.s. I checked the route pattern and the gateway setting belonging calling name restriction: nothing.

Hi Axel,

Which Q.SIG variant you are using to connect to the PBX? 0x9F (ISO) or 0x91 (ECMA)

In Cisco CallManager you may want to check those values under:

CCMAdmin | Service | Service Parameters | Cisco CallManager | Click Advanced

ASN.1 ROSE OID Encoding*

QSIG Variant*

You may want to match these parameters to your PBX.

I tried both variants (but read, that calling name is part of qsig basic) with same result.

Here is a part of the debug:

4w1d: Modify Nominator =

4w1d: DTMF_TONE_DET

4w1d: Modify Nominator =

4w1d: MODEM

4w1d: CODEC_BYTES

4w1d: NTE_PAYLOAD

4w1d: DTMF_RELAY

4w1d: NSE_PAYLOAD

4w1d: SIGNAL_TYPE

4w1d: FAX_BYTES

4w1d: NTE_TX_PAYLOAD

4w1d: SEQ_NUM_START

4w1d: MP_CAP_MODEM_PROTO

4w1d: MP_CAP_MODEM_CODEC

4w1d: MP_CAP_VOICE_RTP_NSE_PAYLOAD

4w1d: MR_INFO

4w1d: Modify Nominator =

4w1d: FAX_TONE_DET

4w1d: MODEM_TONE_DET

4w1d: CM_TONE_DET

4w1d: ISDN Se0/0:15 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0041

Hi Axel,

Per the last debug 0x91 in CCM, you are using ECMA variant, make sure that under CCM Service Parameters ASN.1 ROSE OID Encoding* is set to ECMA also, those values should match in the PBX side.

If that is the case, please upload the detailed CCM trace.

Thanks

Hi //G,

thanks for you help. It is a productive system, so I am not able to post ccm traces here.

I will open a Service Request.

Kind regards

Axel

Transform this Hex string:

Facility i = 0x91AA06800100820100A11602010106042B0C0900800B542E20536368756C756E67

to ASCII (e.g. http://www.yellowpipe.com/yis/tools/encrypter/index.php)

and you receive the send displayname.

Axel
