Re: CM PG installation

First, do you have 3 PG instances loaded on the same machine (one each for CM-Pub, IVR, and CM-Sub)? If so, that is your problem - this is not supported and is programatically disabled. You can only run a maximum of 2 PGs per machine.

On the other hand, you have a couple options. First, it would be recommended that you did NOT connect another PIM/PG to the CallManager Subscriber. Are you running CallManager 3.1x? If so, then you do not need a separate connection to the Subscriber. Instead, if your PGs are duplexed, point side A to the Subscriber and Side B to the Publisher. No matter where the devices are registered, ICM will be able to see them and control them. It would be recommended to have most of your devices register with the new Subscriber and let the Publisher be the back-up.

Also, because you are running ICM 4.6.1, you have the capability to run multiple PIM types on a *single* PG instance. For example, if you did need to connect a separate PIM to each CallManager, you could have the 2 CallManager PIMS and the IVR PIM on 1 PG. The way this is enabled in Configuration Manager is by adding the PG with a type of "PG Generic".

Re: CM PG installation

As long as this isn't a production system, that's fine, because AWs must be "stand-alone" - no other ICM component can share that platform.

Re: CM PG installation

Hi Bill,

As suggested by you, we have duplex PG so, we have pointed Side A to the Publisher CM and Side B to the Subscriber CM.But, we are facing a problem that the JTAPI communication between the Subscriber CM and Side B of the PG is not working.

It is giving the error :

We have checked the username and password for this connection in the CM, authentication is not the reason for this problem.

Can you pls suggest something for this.

Re: CM PG installation

From the message, your provider is "ccm1" - is this the Publisher or the Subscriber?

I'll just call the Publisher "ccm1" and the Subscriber "ccm2".

In PG setup, side A should have CallManager JTAPI Provider/hostname set to "ccm1" with user "ccmpg" and password of choice. Side B should be set with CM hostname to "ccm2" with same user and password.

Is this how it is configured?

Re: CM PG installation

Hi bill,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

CCM1 is Subscriber and CCM is Publisher.

Yes, Side A hostname is set to CCM.

And Side B is set to hostname CCM1.

Both with the same username "cmpg"

and password is also same.

But with Subscriber , JTAPI communication is not working between ICM and Call Manager.

Error : Connection Refused.

I have sent you the details of the errors. It's the same always.

Thanks with regards

Re: CM PG installation

Yogindra,

Can you ping subscribers from side B PG? Also, check if CTI Manager service is running on subscriber.

Thanks,

Re: CM PG installation

Hi,

Installing same type of PG in a single machine and execute both simultaneously is not possible. PG is only for publisher not for subscriber, because the subscriber will read the configuration details from publisher and publisher is the one will read and write information and it push all the information to the subscriber all the time.

So first diesign CCM cluster and set it proberly and install a single PG for the publisher that enought. Because cluster setup will take care about the load balance and the reduntancy.

Please revert back to me if you have any doubt.
