CME 3.4 and IP Communicator

Does anyone know where I can find information on how to setup IP Communicator with CME 3.4 / 4.0 ?

I have spent a lot of time searching the cisco website, but have not come across much on CCME, only CCM.

The only useful command I foudn was that the phone type needs to be set as cipc.

I still need to find stff like :

1. Does TAPI need to be installed ?

2. How will IP Communicator deal with seperate voice and data VLAN's etc..
