CME 4.0 and Unified Messaging

Does CME 4.0 Support unified messaging?

Does it work with unity express or we need Unity for CME 4.0 for unified messaging to work? We would like to integrated Exchange 2003 with CME 4.0.

Thanks

Re: CME 4.0 and Unified Messaging

CME 4.0 can be intergrate with CUE (Unity Express) or Unity.

CUE does not support unified.

Unity support Unified if intergrated with exchange 2000 or 2003.

Re: CME 4.0 and Unified Messaging

AD,

CME can integrate via skinny ports with Unity. If the Unity server has been installed in a UM configuration, you will get unified messaging to the desktop. The mailstore can be Exch 2000/2003 or Lotus Domino.

Re: CME 4.0 and Unified Messaging

Unity Express 2.3 supports 'Unified Messaging' thru IMAP.

Cisco Unity Express Release 2.3 brings voice messages to your Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) desktop e-mail inbox. Taking advantage of your existing messaging infrastructure and IMAP e-mail clients, Cisco Unity Express desktop messaging access provides simple, native access to voicemail from virtually any e-mail client-giving continuous and global access to messages. Integrated messaging is supported only on NM-CUE and NM-CUE-EC modules.

Re: CME 4.0 and Unified Messaging

So using this feature in CME, we can only check voice mail. Is that correct? What about right clicking on a contact and dialing in outlook?

Using exchange it only allows one setting and not IMAP at the same time. Or is there a way to set both of them up?

Thanks
