Has anyone successfully configured both ports on an ATA186 attached to CME? I have configured a fax on port 1 and an analogue phone on port 2. Fax works on Port 1 but port 2 doesn't work i.e. no dial-tone when off-hook & can't place/receive a call. I have configured 2 ephone-dns and one ephone as per attached.
name ION Automotive Fax

Is this correct or do you have to create another ephone as per CCM e.g.remove the leading 00 and add 01 to the end of the address
Thanks for your reply. Can I ask what version of IOS you are using? I have a 2651XM with 122-15.ZJ3. Apart from not auto configuring, the ATA also would not automatically upgrade the firmware. The ATA came with 215ms and I installed 216ms in router flash. I ended up having to upgrade the ATA manually. I wonder whether it is the IOS version that is the problem. I have attached the relevant config entries here in case I've missed something. Mike.

The ATA's are capable of handling one G.729 phone call at one time. In many situations, you can configure both ports to do G.729, but if one port is already in a call using G.729 then a second call on the other port will fall back to G.711.
One other point. Fax on an ATA is not supported with CCME when connected as a skinny endpoint. There are known issues with this config. Either connect Fax machines directly to router FXS ports, or connect the ATA to CCME via H323. Sarat
