CME H323 to SIP

I am having what appears to be a H323 to SIP issue on a new CME/CUE installation. Calls inbound from the WAN via h323 dial peers can reach extensions configured on the CME router, but when those calls are forwarded to Voice Mail, the caller receives a fast busy. All local calls between extensions and to VM work OK. Below is a partial config and my dial peers. Any thoughts on what I am missing or where to look?

CME ROUTER:

voice service voip

allow-connections h323 to sip

dial-peer voice 90 voip

description ** cue voicemail pilot**

destination-pattern 6000

session protocol sipv2

session target ipv4:192.168.11.2

dtmf-relay sip-notify

codec g711ulaw

no vad

dial-peer voice 20 pots

incoming called-number .

codec G711ulaw

dial-peer voice 92 voip

description **Connection to Remote**

max-conn 5

destination-pattern 8[3,5,7,8]..

session target ipv4:172.17.30.41

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

codec g711ulaw

Remote router Dial-Peer:

dial-peer voice 2001 voip

destination-pattern 200[1-9]

session-target ipv4:192.168.11.1

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

codec g711ulaw

Any assistance is appreciated!

Re: CME H323 to SIP

Hi Robert,

Have you tried setting the remote router dial-peer to use sip to see if it does work with SIP-SIP.

With that test we could at least verify that the config is setup properly on the two gateways.

Add the following to the Remote Dial-peer to enable sip.

session protocol sipv2

Thanks,

Rob

Re: CME H323 to SIP

Thanks for the information. Setting the remote dial peer to SIP seemed to be the ticket. Customer can now make successful calls from remote location to CME extensions or VM.

One question though...I changed the remote dial peer, but not the incoming dial peer on the CME server. Are all calls coming in from the remote now SIP calls? Or does the protocol command on the remote end just allow SIP to be used on the dial peer when needed? I noticed I can dial the other direction using my existing dial peer that does not have the Protocol SIP command to the remote peer that does. Regardless....Thanks for the assistance!

Re: CME H323 to SIP

tryed it with "redirect ip2ip" command?

voice service voip

allow-connections h323 to sip

redirect ip2ip

or

dial-peer voice 90 voip

redirect ip2ip

hope this helps.

greetings

mehmet
