CME <--> Siemens Hicom interconnection

Hi

we like to connect a CME based on a 2811 router to a Siemens Hicom 353.

On Hicom side they offer a G.703 interface.

Supported protocols are:

Siemens prot. / remote sys / Basic Call

ECMA1 / ETSI-QSIG-V1 / ETS 300 172 2nd edition

ECMAV2 / ETSI-QSIG-V2 / ETS 300 172 3rd edition

PSS1V2 / ISO-PSS1 / ISO/IEC 11572 2nd edition

We only like to route calls between the both systems.

Is this possible?

Can I use the VWIC2-1MFTG703= module

Yes, Transcoding is supported except on the 7200 VXR or 7301 NPE- G1 because those platforms do not have DSP farms which support.transcoding. Currently transcoding is supported bi-directionally between G.711 (a law and mu law) and G.729 (all acketization types). DSP farms must reside on same platform as the Cisco Multiservice IP- to-IP Gateway.
