I have a specfic requirement for a Callmanager Express 3.1 system. A company operates with three separate DDI numbers, 200, 220 and 100 (one for each subsidary company it operates). Each DDI number has to be answered with a specific greeting so there is a need for the operator to identify which number the calls came in on.
Initially I thought of three buttons with overlay so that I don't have to consume vast quantities of buttons. The problem here though is that when I am on a call, and an overlay call comes in on the same button, there is no indication at all that another call is sitting behind the first. I want the operator to able to take at least 3 calls on any one number before the call forwards off elsewhere for the fourth (potential for 9 simultaneous calls).
Any ideas or workarounds?
I did think of overlaying the 3 instances of the numbers using dial-peer preferences with a different instance on each button e.g:
Button 1: 100 (pref0),220(pref1),200(pref2)
Button 2: 200 (pref0),100 (pref1) 220(pref2)
Button 3: 220 (pref0), 100 (pref2), 200(pref1)
At least the operator gets to see the ringing icon another line.
I'm not able to access my old voice mail messages all of a sudden. The recording says something like 'the message is currently not available'. This has never happened before in all the years I have been using this system. I have t...
