CMM module and conferencing

does anyone know if you can used the DSP's on an un-used T1 port of the 6-T1 module for conferencing (simillar to how the 6608 works) or do you have to use the ACT module?

Re: CMM module and conferencing

you need the ACT module to be able to define transcoding/conferencing resources on the CMM.

please see the following link for more info:

James:

You have to use the ACT. We tried to get one going without, but could not access the DSPs (using CCM4.1(3)sr3c and a CAT6513). It appears the hardware transcoding takes place on the ACT module itself for conference resources.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. To bad....not quite as flexible as the 6608.
