Codec ISSUE

Topology:

SIP Provider --> Cisco GW -- IVR

SIP Provider supports:

a=rtpmap:18 G729/8000

a=rtpmap:4 G723/8000

a=rtpmap:8 PCMA/8000

a=rtpmap:17 T38/8000

But my IVR application only supports

PCMU/8000

IVR is a TCL script.

Do I need to re-record my wav files? (.au) download them from CCO.

I dont have a CCM how do i setup an MTP or a XCODER in the GW itself?

Any application that converts them?

Thanks

Re: Codec ISSUE

Is the IVR connection SIP or H323 ? You cannot do transcoding with both legs as SIP.

Enable CME (telephony-service) or SRST (call-manager-fallback), just to trigger a transcoder in the router. CME or SRST wont be used by any phones (FYI)
