Coexisting Unity Servers

Customer has a Unity 3.1 UM installation with Exchange 5.5. We are migrating to Unity 4.0.2 with Domino. The existing users are on the legacy NT4 domain. The Domino users are on a new AD domain. I want to have both Unity servers running and connected to CallManager 3.1x during this process. Besides some obvious call flow issues (main menu, messages button, etc.), are there any issues having two totally separate Unity servers integrated with CM? These servers will coexist while we migrate users to Notes (1 month max).

Re: Coexisting Unity Servers

There is no reason that you can't have two Unity servers integrated with the same CallManager cluster. With CallManager 3.2 and later you have voicemail profiles which makes it easy to manage. Check out this URL for details which pertain to 3.1:

Thanks,

Keith

Re: Coexisting Unity Servers

Keith,

Thanks for the doc. I was planning out a procedure similar to the CallManager-centric config from that document with partitions and CSS assignments. I never even thought of doing it from the Unity side. That solution is pretty slick.

Thanks again.
