Company Logo in IP Phones: It's fairly simple

Hi all,

I saw the threat about company logo, it is fairly simple to implement using IP Phone Services SDK available to download. you convert your gif logo to cip format using gif2cip.exe and save it as .xml

But If you have an idle logo and phone rings, you do not see who is calling and you can not see whether you have new missed calls or not either. Logo disappears when you hang up the phone to make a call.

Regarding to Cisco logo when it boots up, I do not think it it possible to modify at least using URL Idle adress. Can someone confýrm that ?

I will, using the Idle URL, you can not change the boot up image. That is not to say it can not be done. I believe the image is "stored" on the local EPROM of the IP phone, if you can modify the EPROM to the image you desire. If the image is not stored, then using TAPI, and TSP's there may be some code that could change it.

Before anyone asks, No I haven't done it and No I don't advocate it.
