Oh, I dont know where youd get that utility if you bought the server from Compaq. Call Manager is only supported on the Cisco OEM hardware so you should contact Compaq to see if you can get it from them. The hardware platform might be the problem with your backup hanging too.
However, please note that regardless if a Cisco MCS server is used, or a customer-provided Compaq or IBM server, that the operating system (in addition to CallManager) should be loaded using the software CDs that Cisco provides.
I just went and checked on Marketplace and the part number for CallManager 3.1 software on a customer provided Compaq is: SW-CCM-3.1-COMPAQ
