Conference Calls and DSPs

I'm very confused about how DSPs and conference calls. How many DSPs are required per call? Where can they come from? Can anyone point me to a white paper or design guide on this issue?

TIA

Re: Conference Calls and DSPs

Hi Dave,

These links should be a start.

The DSP's are usually hardware based, in the Cisco World they are on the 4000 & 6500 series of switches. The conference bridge can be supported on a VERY small scale on the CallManager itself, but not recommended since it can impact the performance of the CM.
