Conference Problems CM 3.3(3)

When an outside call is conferenced to a 2nd internal station (7960 phone), if either station hangs up the call is completely dropped. The gateway is a 2620 with fxo/fxs and the same thing happens with either outgoing or incoming calls. Can anyone offer advice?

Under Service Parameters, check the field "Drop Adhoc Conference When Creator Leaves". Make sure it's set to False (default).

Do you have the conference bridges in media resource groups? If not put them in one. You may also have to put your MTP and MOH in the group too.

Clarification point. This is a software conference bridge. It doesn't matter which phone hangs up, the original conferencer or the conferencee, both are disconnected.

I understand the fact that they are software cfb. Are they in a media resource group?

Yes, the cfb is in a media resourse group now. Originally it was not, but I added that today, with the same results.

Make, sure that you also assign that media resource group to a media resource list, then assign that media resource list to the device pool that all the phones are using(Be sure to reset the phones after making this change).
