Config to Correct Clock Slips

2821 with VWIC-2MFT -T1/T1 connected to a PBX. We are experiencing clock slips on the controller. First added -

"Clock Source Line Primary"

to the T1 Controller. Slips continuted.

Added -

"network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0"

This fixed the slips. Queation is should the T1 Controller be set as Clock Source Line or Clock Source Line Primary?

Thanks

Re: Config to Correct Clock Slips

With your 2 port vwic, there can only be one primary and so whichever is the "2nd" port becomes the backup.

if one port is for data and the other for voice, voice is more sensitive to clocking so the port carrying the voice should be the primary.

if both ports are data or both are voice, then I would put the primary on the port that has the most impact base on customer's requirements.
