Configuring CCM Express (IVR and music on hold)

Hello,

I have problem configruring CME 3.0. Music on hold does not work. I have configured as in CCO documentation but still does not work. The seond problem is how to configure IVR in CME 3.0. I found some documentation but I still have a problem configuring it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Best regards,

Aleksander Kocelj

Re: Configuring CCM Express (IVR and music on hold)

For MOH not working, try removing the call application commands and add it again.

Make sure the file music-on-hold.au is in the flash and that it is encoded correctly. It needs to be a PCM 8 bit khz stream.

When you say you need to configure IVR on the ITS gateway, you mean you need to invoke a tcl applicaiton on the inbound calls. You can configure the application on the inbound pots dial peer. You need to put a port and a destination pattern under dial peer voice 1 and also an incoming called-number .

Re: Configuring CCM Express (IVR and music on hold)

Music oin hold will only be played to people coming in via PSTN or H323 links. If you place a call on hold between two phones registered to the CME router they will only get a beep every few seconds. As far as I know there is no way to make music on hold work for internal phone calls.

Re: Configuring CCM Express (IVR and music on hold)

I stumbled on a way to check for moh with out the PSTN or H323 links. If you start a 3way conf, then put 2 of the phones on hold, the 3rd phone not on hold will hear the MOH file, not the normal beeps.

Re: Configuring CCM Express (IVR and music on hold)

Regarding the automatic attendant(AA) (IVR). The idea is to make that all the incomming calls be forward to the AA, and by this way you must configure this dial-peer to recieve Direct In Dialing (DID) calls, it will able you to dial postdialing digit using the application, ie: you can try to add a dial-peer with the following configuration for a FXO port:

call application voice aa flash:its-CISCO.2.0.1.0.tcl

call application voice aa operator 100

call application voice aa aa-pilot 9

call application voice aa language 0 en

call application voice aa set-location en 0 flash:

voice-port 2/1

!

dial-peer voice 50 pots

application aa

destination-pattern 0

direct-inward-dial

port 2/1

This will able you this make incomming calls be forwarded to the AA and after this you can dial an extension number.

Regarding the IVR, if you configure

telephony-service

moh music-on-hold.au

It will work if you make an outgoing call to the PSTN using the same CMME router as PSTN Gateway, and if you make a call to the PSTN, this call can be leaved on hold by an IP Phone, and you´ll hear the MoH on the PSTN side.

But for internal MoH Service, you need to configure MoH but for a multicast group, I have troubles with it, regarding documentation you only need to add

in the telephony service profile the following:

Telephony-service

ip source-address 10.145.0.1 port 2000

moh moh.au

multicast moh 239.0.0.1 port 2000 route 10.145.0.1

where: 10.145.0.1 is the fa0/0 and the 239.0.0.1 is the multicast group.

After this I enabled igmp and cgmp with pim dense-mode, on the router and the switch and don´t work.If you have some advance regarding this topic let me know.

I Hope this help.

BR.
